TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Wednesday announced the arrest of an organized crime member for extorting the head of a management company for fuzoku (commercial sex) businesses in the Ikebukuro entertainment area of Toshima Ward, reports TBS News (July 8).

Masao Horikoshi, a 59-year-old member of the Sumiyoshi-kai, is alleged to have threatened the president, 29, over payments — specifically mikajimeryo, or protection money — totaling 250,000 yen.

According to police, Horikoshi threatened to kidnap the victim and dump his body “in the mountains where the police can’t find it” and “ram a sex business with a dump truck.”

Horikoshi has not commented on the allegations.
