OSAKA (TR) – Osaka Prefectural Police on Thursday raided a massage parlor staffed with Chinese attendants in Kita Ward for licensing violations, reports the Mainichi Shimbun (May 15).

At 5:30 p.m., officers entered parlor Anna Body, located on the seventh floor of a building in the Toyosaki district, and found masseuses supplying sexual services to a 48-year-old male customer in violation of the Law Regulating Adult Entertainment Businesses.

Police arrested the manager of the parlor, a 28-year-old Chinese national, and five other employees. All but one of the suspects has reportedly denied the allegations. “This is not a massage parlor that provides sexual services,” the manager is quoted by police, according to the Mainichi Broadcasting System (May 15).

According to the Anna Body Web site, prices for a basic massage begin at 3,000 yen for the first 30 minutes. For a VIP service, which includes a bubble wash, fees start at 10,000 yen for the first hour.

After immigration officials received an anonymous tip about the parlor in February, prefectural police launched an undercover investigation.
