NAGOYA (TR) – Aichi Prefectural Police on early Wednesday morning busted a slot machine parlor operating illegally in Naka Ward, reports the Nippon News Network (Sept. 10).

At approximately 2:00 a.m., officers raided slot parlor Zeus and arrested employees Kota Haraguchi, 23, Ryoya Sugiyama, 21, and 25-year-old Miho Murakami.

Haraguchi and Sugiyama have reportedly admitted to the allegations, while Murakami has denied the charges.

Officers also arrested seven customers inside Zeus at the time of the search.

Police said the illegal machines allow for the operation to take a premium that is double the standard in the industry.

According to Nagoya TV (Sept. 10), officers seized 49 machines and 1.25 million yen in cash.

In May, police received a tip about the availability of illegal machines at Zeus, according to the Sankei Shimbun (Sept. 10).
