TOKYO (TR) – In an ongoing sweep of sex clubs in the metropolis this month, Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Thursday announced the bust of a massage parlor in the Koenji district, reports Yomiuri Television (Jan. 31).

On January 21, officers took the manager of club Kano Kyodai, Susumu Yamaguchi, 59, into custody for offering sexual services in private rooms of an apartment building in Suginami Ward — a violation of the Law Regulating Adult Entertainment Businesses regarding location of operations.

The club registered its business as a deri heru (“delivery health”) out-call sex service in Kita Ward to evade detection.

According to promotional Web sites, the club’s rates began at 8,000 yen for the first 40 minutes.

The club generated 14 million yen in revenue over the past four months, police said.

Fuji Network News (Jan. 31) says that between January 6 and 30 Tokyo police have made 29 arrests on charges related to illegal adult-entertainment establishments.
