TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy suspected of molesting multiple women inside and near the Joban Line since the end of last year, reports TBS News (Mar. 16).

On January 19 around 7:00 p.m., the boy, a resident of Nagareyama City, Chiba Prefecture, allegedly forced a girl, also 15, inside an elevator at a building near JR Kameari Station and fondling her buttocks and forcibly kissing her.

The suspect, who has been charged with indecent assault, admits to the allegations, telling police he had “gotten turned on, and had accumulated stress due to a lack of progress in club activities,” according to TV Asahi (Mar. 16).

According to police, the boy initially spotted the girl inside a car of the Joban Line as she was commuting home. He then followed her.

The boy has been arrested in one other indecent assault case. Police are currently investigating whether he was behind a total of five similar cases, including an indecent assault, that have taken place in and around the Joban Line since November.
