TOKYO (TR) – Law enforcement divisions in Tokyo and Aichi and Shizuoka prefectures have arrested five persons, including a well-known adult video (AV) actor, in the illegal distribution of pornographic material via the internet, reports the Sports Hochi (Mar. 2).

Police have accused actor Jo Oshima, one other actor, one actress, Nobuyuki Ishizaki, the 35-year-old president of AV talent agency Declare, based in Shibuya Ward, and manager Takeaki Yukimoto in the online distribution of a film in which genitalia was not obscured.

Yukimoto, who has been charged with the electronic distribution of material deemed obscene, denies the allegations. The other four suspects admit to the charges.

The material was filmed at a studio in Tokyo’s Shinjuku Ward on February 2, 2016. It was distributed on a video site last August.

Since 2009, Declare has reported revenues of 154 million yen through the dispatching of performers.

On Twitter on Thursday, Oshima (@joe59681) issued an apology to all parties related to the incident. “I was released tonight [Thursday],” he wrote. “I’ve got nothing to say about it now but until the time I retire I will be known as ‘Jo Oshima.’ Thank you for your concern.”

On Friday, he thanked fellow actors and friends for their support in what was “an unforgettable three-day experience.”
