Shizuoka police have accused the manager of restaurant Honey Dripper of installing a spy camera in a women’s toilet

SHIZUOKA (TR) – Shizuoka Prefectural Police have arrested the 39-year-old manager of a restaurant in Shizuoka City who allegedly installed a spy camera inside a women’s restroom, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Dec. 13).

At around 9:30 p.m. on October 21, a woman aged in her 30s was filmed in the restroom of Honey Dripper, located in Aoi Ward, by a small camera allegedly installed by manager Takayuki Kasai for the purpose of taking tosatsu, or voyeur, footage.

Kasai, who has been charged with violating a public nuisance ordinance, admits to the allegations.

The camera had been concealed inside a small toilet article. After discovery of the camera, the woman alerted officers from the Chuo Police Station.

Considering that the camera filmed multiple women, Kasai is under investigation for other crimes.
