KAWASAKI, Kanagawa (TR) – A trailer rolled over on an expressway here on Saturday, seriously injuring three people, police said.

Keizou Inoue, 48, was arrested on suspicion of negligent driving resulting in injury after his trailer rolled over and crushed a car carrying three passengers on the Kawasaki-Ukishima junction expressway at around 11 a.m., TBS News reports (Dec. 4).

The three victims were rushed to a hospital with serious injuries including chest fracture, police said.

A section of the Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway that connects drivers from Yokohama to the Tokyo Bay Aqualine was shuttered for 11 hours due to the crash, which occurred during low traffic conditions, police said.
