TOCHIGI (TR) – Tochigi Prefectural Police have re-arrested a member of the Yamaguchi-gumi organized crime group in a truck-ramming incident that resulted in damage to the office of a rival gang, reports TV Asahi (Dec. 1).

Atsushi Kogure, 34, and three other persons have been accused in the ramming of a two-ton truck into the office of a third-tier Yamaguchi-gumi affiliate in Utsunomiya City in March. An exterior wall of the office received heavy damage in the incident.

On November 9, police first arrested Kogure in the theft of the same truck in Chiba Prefecture.

All four of the suspects have declined to comment on the allegations.

The Kobe Yamaguchi-gumi formed following the dissolution of the Yamaguchi-gumi last summer. Police suspect the incident is related to an ongoing feud between the two gangs that began after the split.
