TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested in a 35-year-old company employee in an alleged attempted sexual assault of a school girl in Inagai City in which the suspect stole the victim’s underwear, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Nov. 28).
On October 24 at 10:00 p.m., Yorinori Takano allegedly embraced the girl, a middle school student, from behind in a park and threatened her with scissors. “I’ll kill you,” he reportedly said. The suspect then took the girl to a public toilet, where he snatched away her underwear.
Takano, who has been charged with robbery and attempted rape, admits to the allegations. “My sexual desire exceeded my ability to put on the brakes for my actions,” the suspect is quoted.
Police apprehended Takano after an examination of security camera footage showed the suspect tailing the girl for several hundred meters in the park prior to the incident.
