NAGANO (TR) – Nagano Prefectural Police on Sunday launched an investigation following the discovery of a human leg in a field in the village of Minamimaki.
At around 10:00 a.m., a man working his field called police after discovering the leg, which had been severed at the knee, TBS News reports (Nov. 27).
Police are now combing the immediate area in search for more body parts and working quickly to identify the owner of the leg.
The site of the discovery is near other fields, a ski area, golf course and the border with Yamanashi Prefecture.
