SAITAMA (TR) – A drunk British man allegedly bit another man inside a restaurant in Niiza City on Sunday after being warned not to shoot arrows in a restaurant.
At around 11:15 p.m., Saitama Prefectural Police arrested Steven David Watson, a 50-year-old resident of Fujimi City, for allegedly biting the nose of the man, a 33-year-old designer, upon being warned for shooting an archery arrow into an unoccupied seat inside an outlet of family restaurant Saizeriya, located near Shiki Station, the Sankei Shimbun reports (Nov. 14).
Watson, who had been drinking, denies the charges of inflicting injury. He was quoted by officers from the Niiza Police Station as saying he “never shot an arrow, and I didn’t bite anyone either.”
Prior to the incident, Watson got into an altercation with his 24-year-old brother-in-law after he shot the arrow. In attempting to break up the fight, the 33-year-old man ended up getting bitten by Watson, police said.
