KANAGAWA (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police are investigating what is believed to have been a double suicide after the discovery of the bodies of an elderly woman and her son in Kawasaki City, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Nov. 13).

At around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, the bodies of Tamiko Amano, 79, and her son, 54-year-old Kenichi, were found by her older brother at their residence in the Shiohama area of Kawasaki Ward.

Officers from the Kawasaki-Rinko Police Station rushing to the residence found both persons bleeding from wounds to the neck. They were both confirmed dead at the scene.

A knife was found atop a table in the residence. “I’m tired of living,” read a will mentioning both persons that was also discovered at the scene.

Minko’s brother had visited the residence after noticing no lights were turned on inside.
