Ishikawa cops: Stabbing at pachinko parlor leaves female employee injured

ISHIKAWA (TR) – Ishikawa Prefectural Police have launched an investigation after a stabbing incident at a pachinko parlor in Nonoichi City left one female employee injured, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Nov. 11).

At approximately 9:40 p.m. on Thursday, an unknown male assailant approached a 19-year-old female employee of DSG World, located in the Okyozuka area, in a parking lot and stabbed her with a knife in multiple parts of her torso. He then fled the scene.

The woman suffered serious injuries, but they are not considered life-threatening.

Aged in his 40s or 50s, the man is described as wearing black clothing and standing approximately 150 centimeters in height.

Hakusan Police Station suspect that the man is a customer of the parlor, which was open at the time of the incident. An analysis of security camera footage taken in the parlor and the parking lot is now under way.

Officers are seeking the man’s whereabouts on suspicion of attempted murder.
