Osaka cops raid 2 internet casinos operating illegally

OSAKA (TR) – Osaka Prefectural Police have busted two internet casinos operating illegally in Naniwa Ward, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Nov. 4).

On Friday, police prosecuted Takashi Yamaguchi, the 41-year-old manager of Fantasy, located in the Ebisuhigashi area, and four others for providing illegal gambling via personal computers.

Also prosecuted were employees of Pharaoh, which is located in the Nipponbashi area, on the same charges. A total five male and female customers were also cited.

Yamaguchi and three other suspects admit to the allegations while the other suspect denies the charges.

Police seized a total of 31 personal computers from both parlors and 1.4 million yen in cash from Fantasy.
