KYOTO (TR) – Kyoto Prefectural Police on Tuesday arrested a pro soccer player in Japan’s J2 league for allegedly uploading a pornographic video of an underage boy.

Hayato Nakamura, 24, a goalkeeper for Montedio Yamagata, allegedly used his computer and smartphone to upload a pornographic video of an underage boy to a movie-sharing app between from November 14 and 18 last year, Sankei Sports reports (Nov. 1).

Nakamura, who has been accused of violating child pornography laws, has admitted to the charges, police said, adding that the suspect likely downloaded the video from another party who shared it.

A police officer was monitoring the web when they noticed Nakamura tweet on his Twitter account a password to view the video on the movie-sharing app.

The president of Montedio’s management company released a statement saying he “deeply apologizes to all of the fans and supporters who support the J.League.”
