On October 1, Tokyo police arrested Yumiko Tsukakoshi, 36, for spraying commuters on a platform at Seibu Takadanobaba Station with a can of tear gas.

A total of nine persons on the platform, aged between 13 and 42, received treatment for light injuries, including sore throats, at a nearby hospital following the incident.

Upon her apprehension by police, Tsukakoshi described her occupation to police as that of a “performer.” According to Friday (Oct. 21), among her appearances are starring roles in uncensored adult video (AV) productions — just one facet of a troubled persona.

The magazine downloads one of the films which has Tsukakoshi portraying a bashful, newly married housewife under the name of “Noriko Kashiwagi.” With her genitalia visible, she engages in full sex with a male actor.

“I’m tired of my husband,” she tells her partner, according to Tokyo Sports (Oct. 8). “I really like young guys.”

Both publications highlight Tsukakoshi’s apparent penchant for the eccentric. In carrying out the tear gas attack, Tsukakoshi, a resident of Nerima Ward, told police that she targeted the neck of a 32-year-old man on the platform. “He resembled a groper from a previous incident so I sprayed him,” she said.

That is not the only example of random behavior. Friday quotes the manager of a restaurant where she used to work as saying that she frequently spend a large amount of time in the ladies room. “We would just hear this low-voiced murmur coming from within,” he says.

Around her residence in Nerima, she is known as “Miss Underwear.” “She’s always wearing skirts short enough so that her underwear is visible,” the neighbor says.

On her Twitter account (@kisaragiyuchan), she used the word busu (ugly) to describe the current Tokyo governor. “It is not permissible to have the ugly lawmaker Yuriko Koike become governor of Tokyo!”

Tsukakoshi has been prosecuted on suspicion of assault. She previously told police that she did not go to Takadanobaba Station on that day in denying the allegations.

An acquaintance tells Tokyo Sports that Tsukakoshi, a native of Zushi City, Kanagawa Prefecture, has three brothers and sisters. Their mother committed suicide when she was very young.

When Friday presented her younger brother with an image from the AV production, he told the magazine the woman depicted appeared to be his older sister. “She left home about 10 years ago,” he said “I didn’t know about the (tear gas) incident nor the entertainment work.”
