OITA (TR) – As apart of an investigation into the disappearance of a woman last month, Oita Prefectural Police have determined that she exchanged messages with a person around the time she was last seen, reports Nippon News Network (Oct. 8).

According to police, the phone of Misaki Gojobori, a company employee, exchanged messages on the smartphone application Line at around 1:00 a.m. on September 26. Gojobori was last seen by an acquaintance at her residence in the Yokoo area of Oita City about two hours before.

On September 26, the company where she is employed contacted her family when she did not show up for work. The family then consulted with police.

Police determined that the exchange of messages took place near Gojobori’s residence, where she lives alone. However, her phone has not been found. Her bag and purse were found to be missing from the residence.

On Saturday, around 10,000 leaflets with Gojobori’s description and image were distributed at JR Tsurusaki Station in Oita, reports Nippon News Network (Oct. 8). With a slender build, she stands approximately 150 centimeters in height. She has dark, shoulder-length hair.

Persons with information on the case are advised to call the Oita-Higashi Police Station at 097-527-2131.
