KANAGAWA (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police on Wednesday busted a highly lucrative casino in Yokohama for offering illegal gambling, reports TV Asahi (Oct. 6).
At just after noon, officers took Kiyoharu Kishi, the 51-year-old manager of Tiger, located in Kohoku Ward, and three other employees into custody for providing customers with baccarat gaming.
Kishi and two other employees admit to the allegations while the fourth suspect denies the charges.
Located inside a multi-tenant building in a business district near JR Yokohama Station, the establishment included a security camera to monitor customers entering and exiting to prevent a bust by law enforcement.
Police, who raided the premises after receiving an anonymous tip, also arrested eight male and female customers and seized six baccarat tables and four million yen in cash.
Over a 10-month period beginning in December of last year, Tiger collected one billion yen in revenue.
