KANAGAWA (TR) – Police arrested four men here on Wednesday for allegedly selling child pornography DVDs featuring sixth-grade girls wearing bikinis and collecting over 3.4 million yen in sales.

Takahiro Hayashi, 51, a DVD production company worker, Masao Nakagawa, 47, president of a production company that handles the girls, and two other men were arrested on suspicion of forcing sixth-grade girls to appear in soft-core pornographic productions and distributing the material on DVDs, the Sankei Shimbun reports (September 28).

All four suspects are denying the charges, telling police they “didn’t think it would count as child pornography.”

The suspects allegedly sold some 1,400 copies of the discs, known as “non-nude erotica,” in racking up over 3.4 million yen in sales, Nippon News Network reported.

The production company is rumored online to be Image Creator, which in a recent posting on its web site features a DVD launch event by one of its models at electronics retailer Sofmap’s branch in Akihabara, Tokyo.
