Tokyo cops seek man over molestation of woman in Bunkyo

TOKYO (TR) – Following the molestation of a woman on a street one year ago, Tokyo Metropolitan Police are seeking assistance from the public in apprehending the male suspect wanted in the crime, reports Fuji News Network (Sept. 28).

Police released a video clip from a surveillance camera showing the man who is alleged to have abruptly covered the mouth of the woman, aged in her 20s, as she commuted home in the Sekiguchi area of Bunkyo Ward in the early morning hours of October 11. He then fondled her chest.

The suspect, who is wanted on suspicion of indecent assault, fled the scene after the incident. The woman was not injured.

The video shows the suspect wearing glasses, a blue jacket and beige pants. Standing approximately 175 centimeters in height, he is believed to be aged in his 20s.
