VANCOUVER, CANADA (TR) – Police released security camera footage of a white male last seen with a Japanese woman the day she went missing here on September 8, the Sankei Shimbun reported on Wednesday (Sept. 28).

Natsumi Kogawa, a 30-year-old Aomori Prefecture native, was studying in Vancouver since May and was to meet a friend on September 8 when she never showed and has remained missing.

Camera footage taken at around 1:30 p.m. on September 8, just before Kogawa went missing, shows her talking to the man in his 30s who is wearing a black jacket, jeans and a baseball cap.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are asking the public to come forward with any information about the man by calling 604-294-7922.

A Facebook page set up to assist with the search is also seeking information from the public.

Kogawa is 4 feet 11 inches tall with long hair and brown eyes. She is said to be an experienced traveler and might be wearing a backpack.
