KYOTO (TR) – Kyoto Prefectural Police have arrested a 28-year-old professional dancer for the production of child pornography involving dozens of juvenile boys, reports the Asahi Shimbun (Sept. 12).
Between July of 2010 and May of this year, Satoru Okazaki, a resident of Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture, and four other persons are alleged to have produced child pornography involving 47 victims, aged between 7 and 15.
All of the suspects, who have been charged with indecent assault and violating child pornography laws, admit to the allegations. “I couldn’t suppress my sexual desire,” one of the suspects is quoted.
According to police, the suspects became acquainted via an internet bulletin board site. They recruited the victims by approaching them at game centers in Kyoto, Osaka and Wakayama prefectures or by calling out to them in the streets.
The victims were then lured to a residence where they engaged in obscene acts that were filmed. The content was shared via the internet communication service Skype.
Police suspect the total number of victims in the case could exceed 100, according to the Mainichi Broadcasting System (Sept. 12).
In October, police launched an investigation after receiving a tip from the International Criminal Police Organization about “videos of nude boys uploaded to the internet.”
