TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 38-year-old man who is alleged to have posed a deliveryman while sexually assaulting a girl in Shinjuku Ward, reports TBS News (Sept. 12).

On the evening of August 23, Hiroyuki Notsu, the deputy manager of a beauty parlor in Shibuya Ward, entered the residence of the girl, 18, while dressed in a home deliveryman uniform and demanded money. After taking 1,000 yen from the girl, who lives by herself, he sexually assaulted her.

Notsu denies the charges. “I don’t remember clearly but I didn’t do it,” the suspect is quoted by police.

Police suspect that Notsu has been behind a series of similar crimes in which the victims were also women living alone.
