SAITAMA (TR) – Saitama Prefectural Police have arrested a 40-year-old man who is alleged to have confined an elementary school boy inside a car in Tokorozawa City while sexually abusing him, reports TV Asahi (Sept. 9).

On the afternoon of September 2, Ken Kimura, a resident of Higashikurume City, is alleged to have repeatedly beat the boy over the head as he rode his bicycle home. The suspect then forced the boy into a vehicle and fondled his body.

The boy suffered injuries to the head that will require three weeks to heal.

Kimura, who has been charged with indecent assault, admits to the allegations. “I did it to satisfy my sexual desire,” the suspect is quoted.

Kimura became a person of interest for police after an examination of surveillance camera footage.

Since June, police have received a number of reports of similar crimes involving young boys in Tokorozawa and Kawagoe City. According to TBS News (Sept. 9), Kimura has admitted to committing the same crime on multiple occasions.
