OSAKA (TR) – Osaka Prefectural Police have arrested a male employee at the Osaka High District Public Prosecutor’s Office for allegedly taking illicit photographs of a woman, reports Mainichi Broadcasting System (Sept. 5).

On September 3, a 27-year-old administrative secretary at the office allegedly concealed a camera inside a bag to film up the skirt of a woman inside a shop in Kita Ward.

The suspect, who was not on duty at the time of the incident, has been accused by the Sonezaki Police Station of violating a public nuisance ordinance. No comment from the suspect regarding the charges has been made available.

“It is truly regrettable,” said Kentaro Kitagawa, an associate public prosecutor at the office, according to the Sankei Shimbun (Sept. 5). “After having undergone a proper investigation, we will strictly deal with this matter in the future.”
