The Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education fired a 63-year-old principal for sexually harassing a subordinate
TOKYO (TR) – A public elementary school principal was dismissed on Tuesday for repeatedly sexually harassing a female teacher, including slapping her buttocks and filming her with a camera.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education said the 63-year-old principal sexually harassed his subordinate numerous times from May 2015 to June this year, the Sankei Shimbun reports (August 30).

The principal slapped the teacher’s buttocks inside places like their school and restaurants, tried to kiss her and used a camera to film her.

He told education officials during interviews he was “holding onto a special feeling.”

The victim reported the sexual harassment to the vice-principal in June.
