CHIBA (TR) – The president of a company was arrested on Tuesday for repeatedly slamming the head of his subordinate’s 6-year-old son into the floor, causing serious injuries including vomiting and skull fracture.

Ichikawa Station Police arrested Fumiaki Nagahashi, 42, president of construction firm T.s life, on bodily injury charges for seizing his subordinate’s 6-year-old son by the hair and repeatedly slamming his head into the floor of his residence at around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, the Sankei Shimbun reports (August 8).

Nagahashi has admitted to the charges, quoted by Nippon News Network as saying he “did it because the boy wouldn’t stop hitting me so I wanted to scold him.”

Nagahashi was drinking at his home with his subordinates, including the victim’s father who is in his 30s, when the boy came with his mother to pick up his father.

Nagahashi fooled around as he forced the boy into a figure-four leglock, which hurt the boy, who reacted by hitting the suspect in the face. Nagahashi then assaulted the boy, police said.

The boy’s father said he “couldn’t stop him because it was so sudden.”

The father alerted police after his child started vomiting when they returned home.

The child is receiving treatment at the hospital for serious injuries that are not life-threatening, NHK reported.

T.s life, which is based in Minami-oono, Ichikawa City, no longer lists Nagahashi’s name as president on its web site. The suspect’s name has been replaced by Tomoko Yuasa.

Netizens quickly identified a Facebook account that matched Nagahashi’s name, which shows a photo of what is reportedly his daughter.

The Facebook account is also listed on Nagahashi’s corporate profile.
