TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have busted a so-called “JK” parlor in the Ikebukuro district for the alleged sexual abuse of a female employee, reports the Sankei Shimbun (July 19).

On two occasions in March, Ryu Usami, the 37-year-old manager of Ikebukuro GU Exploration Party, is alleged to have engaged in obscene acts with the girl, a second-year high school student, inside the office of the parlor.

Usami, who has been charged with violating the Child Welfare Act, denies the charges. “Nothing vile happened here,” the suspect is quoted by police.

Short for joshi kosei, or high school girl, a JK business typically employs female students. At Ikebukuro GU Exploration Party, staff members at the parlor take male customers on an osanpo, or walking date, through the Ikebukuro area at a rate of 3,000 yen for the first 30 minutes.

Just prior to one of the incidents, the girl returned to the parlor at closing time after serving a customer. The suspect then told her, “Now it’s my turn.” He later paid the girl 5,000 yen.
