FUKUOKA (TR) – Fukuoka Prefectural Police have arrested a 28-year-old woman for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend inside the residence they share, reports TBS News (July 4).

At around 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, Maiko Sadakyo allegedly stabbed her boyfriend, 32, in the buttocks with a kitchen knife inside a room of the residence, located in the Shimehighashi area of the town of Shime.

After the suspect telephoned emergency services, the man was transported in an unconscious state to a nearby hospital where is being treating for non-life-threatening injuries.

Sadakyo, who has been charged with attempted murder, admits to the allegations. “We were drinking and talked about breaking up,” she told officers from the Kasuya Police Station. “I then angrily threw a kitchen knife at him as he sat there in silence.”

In October of last year, the victim consulted with police about domestic violence perpetrated by the suspect.
