SHIGA (TR) – A male city case worker in Shiga Prefecture known online as the “nipple man” was dismissed from his post on Monday after he was arrested for allegedly flashing high school girls on a train in May.

Kyoto prefectural police arrested Toshihiro Fujikuma, 33, who was a case worker at the social welfare section of the Health and Welfare Department in Ritto City, on June 5 on indecent exposure charges after he allegedly flashed high school girls in a train on the Kintetsu Kyoto Line on May 21, the Sankei Shimbun reports (June 27).

The Kyoto District Public Prosecutor’s Office had been holding Fujikuma without an indictment.

Police are also investigating a string of reports from women claiming that Fujikuma groped their breasts.

Fujikuma became infamous online as the “nipple man” after numerous people, mostly women, uploaded photos of him feeling his chest while looking at women on trains and on train platforms.

The numerous photos uploaded online helped police track down Fujikuma, who admitted to the charges and said he was “stressed and had sexual motives.”

The mayor of Ritto City condemned the incident as a “horrible act” and appeared to be at a loss for words during a press conference held on June 8 to apologize for Fujikuma’s actions.
