Between February and March of last year, the suspect dispatched the girl, who was 14 at the time, to meet three male customers at a love hotels in Konan and Naka wards. The men paid between 20,000 yen and 30,000 yen for each session.
“I needed money for things like pachinko,” the suspect told police in admitting the allegations.
The suspect got to know the girl through a smartphone dating application. Through the app, he said that he was looking to pay someone 1.2 million yen to appear as an extra at a wedding ceremony. However, in order to qualify for the work she would first need to raise 100,000 yen through prostitution.
The girl was provided with a portion of the 300,000 yen in fees paid by her customers. After a certain period of time, however, she decided to quit before reaching the necessary amount. “In being a partner for men I don’t know, my mind and body became tattered,” she later told police, who later took her into protective custody.
