Okayama cops: Prostitute strangled, robbed by customer

Suspect stole ¥14,000 in cash and victim's smartphone

OKAYAMA (TR) – Okayama Prefectural Police have arrested a man accused of beating and robbing a female sex worker in Kurashiki City, reports the Sankei Shimbun (June 22).

According to the Kurashiki Police Station, Takashi Yoshida allegedly strangled a female employee,aged in her 20s, from a “delivery health” out-call service inside a hotel room at around 1:00 p.m. on May 28. “Give me all of your money,” he then demanded.

Before fleeing the scene, the suspect stole 14,000 yen in cash and the woman’s smartphone.

The woman, a resident of Shiga Prefecture, suffered various injuries, including a sprained neck.

Police arrested Yoshida in Hiroshima City on June 21.
