Fukuoka cops nab men in convenience store freezer photo shoot

FUKUOKA (TR) – Two men in their 20s were arrested on Monday for allegedly lying down in a convenience store’s ice cream freezer and taking photos, ruining more than 300 products in the process.

Fukuoka Prefectural Police arrested Kazuya Kuwahara, 26, and his friend Shou Yamauchi, 25, on building intrusion and destruction of property charges for allegedly sneaking into a convenience store in Chuo Ward, Fukuoka, last year on August 9 to lie down in an ice cream freezer to take photos, the Mainichi Shimbun reports (June 21).

Officers from the Chuo Police Station said Kuwahara took photos of Yamauchi lying down in the ice cream freezer, which soiled the freezer itself along with 288 products worth 33,584 yen.
