KANAGAWA (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy for allegedly cutting the hair of a woman as she commuted by train to work, reports the Asahi Shimbun (June 20).

At 7:45 a.m., the boy, a second-year student at a private high school in Yokohama’s Asahi Ward, allegedly used scissors to trim the hair of the woman, 25, inside a train car of the JR Yokohama Line between Nakayama and Kamoi stations.

The boy, who has been charged with assault, admits to the allegations. “I did it to satisfy my sexual desire,” police quoted the suspect, who is not acquainted with the woman, a resident of Tokyo’s Machida City.
