FUKUOKA (TR) – Fukuoka Prefectural Police are planning to apply fresh charges to a female sex worker already accused of attempted murder over a separate case in which an acquaintance fell to her death from a bridge, reports the Yomiuri Shimbun (June 20).

On April 29, the body of a 25-year-old female acquaintance of Natsuki Sakuda, a 29-year-old resident of Fukuoka’s Hakata Ward, was found in a stream below the Mino Grand Bridge in Yame City.

With drugs apparent in her system, police suspect that Sakuda pushed the woman off the bridge, which stands 60 meters high. Sakuda, who was living with the woman, is expected to be charged with murder.

Sakuda is currently under prosecution for attempted murder.  In the early morning hours of April 4, Sakuda allegedly had her former boyfriend consume a large quantity of sleeping pills and then choked him with a cord inside his residence at the time in Kurume City.

The man suffered slight injuries. The couple had previously discussed breaking off their relationship.

Sakuda has denied the attempted murder charges.
