FUKUOKA (TR) – Fukuoka Prefectural Police have arrested a 42-year-old man on drug charges after two decayed bodies were found inside his residence in Kitakyushu City, reports Nippon News Network (June 14).

On Monday afternoon, police entered the residence of Masashi Mihara, located in a municipal housing block in Yahatanishi Ward, and found the body of a woman and that of a person of unknown gender due to the advanced stage of decomposition.

Both bodies are believed to be those of adults. Their identities are unknown.

According to TV Asahi (June 14), Mihara’s speech was incomprehensible during questioning. He was then arrested for the use of stimulant drugs after the results of a urine analysis revealed the presence of such drugs.

Police were alerted to the residence by a man who entered the premises earlier that day and found the body of the woman.

Police will await the results of autopsies on the bodies in determining the causes of death.
