Former C-C-B keyboard player arrested again for stimulant drug use

TOKYO (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police have arrested keyboard player Tomoharu Taguchi, 55, for the alleged use of stimulant drugs, his second such arrest, reports the Yomiuri Shimbun (April 14).

Taguchi, who is known for his work in the rock band C-C-B, has admitted to using drugs in Tokyo earlier this month.

The musician, a resident of Tokyo’s Adachi Ward, was arrested on the same charges in July of last year. Two months later, he was handed an 18-month prison term, suspended for three years.

C-C-B, short for Coconut Boys, gained popularity in the 1980s through singles like “Lucky Chance Once More” and due to the colorful hairstyles sported by the members. The band broke up in 1989.
