NAGASAKI (TR) – Nagasaki Prefectural Police believe a body found on Monday in Omura City could be that of a woman whose male colleague was found dead several days after she went missing earlier this month, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Mar. 29).

At 3:00 p.m., police found the body of a woman measuring 155 centimeters in height collapsed on a slope in a forested area of the Miyadaimachi area.

The body did not have any external injuries. Officers from the Omura Police Station estimate that the person had been dead for several days.

On the morning of March 18, a part-time female employee, aged in her 50s, went missing on her way to work. The basic description of the body found on Monday matches that of the woman.

On March 21, police discovered the body of a 48-year-old male colleague of the woman hanged in a forest in the Kagehiramachi area.

Police are now working to confirm the identity of the female body and determine the cause of death.
