FUKUOKA (TR) – Fukuoka Prefectural Police on Wednesday busted the operator of a soapland bathhouse in Fukuoka for employing an underage girl, reports the Asahi Shimbun (Feb. 17).

In July last year, Sosuke Nonaka, the 30-year-old manager of the Bukkomi Group, allegedly employed the girl, who was 16 years old at the time, to offer sexual services at the soapland, located in the Nakasu entertainment area of Hakata Ward.

Nonaka, who has been charged with violating the Anti-Prostitution Law and Child Welfare Act, has declined to comment on the charges. Police also arrested the manager of the soapland, 47-year-old Kazuya Fukuda.

Last month, police arrested both suspects for licensing violations under the Law Regulating Adult Entertainment Businesses at the chain’s Bukkomi 5 parlor. Following those arrests, operations at the Bukkomi Group were halted.
