YOKOHAMA (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police have arrested a 32-year-old male subway driver for allegedly molesting a woman in Yokohama, reports TBS News (Feb. 14).
At around 12:10 a.m. on Sunday, Yuichiro Higuchi, a driver for Toei Subway, allegedly fondled the body of the woman, 21, on a road in Kanagawa Ward.
Higuchi, who has been charged with indecent assault, admits to the allegations. After he had been out drinking with colleagues prior to the incident, he spotted the woman at a train station. “Because she was a cute girl, I followed her,” the suspect is quoted by police.
The incident took place as the woman was returning home from her part-time job. Higuchi approached from behind, hugged her and reached inside her dress.
The victim then let out a scream. Higuchi was later apprehended by police who arrived at the scene.
