GIFU (TR) – Gifu Prefectural Police have arrested a former middle school principal in Toki City for the possession of child pornography, reports the Mainichi Shimbun (Jan. 26).
At 7:15 a.m on Monday, investigators searched a personal computer belonging to Masayasu Kirii, 63, and found a file containing a video featuring sex an underage girl engaging in sex.
According to the Sankei Shimbun (Jan. 25), a cyber patrol division within the prefectural police traced the file to Kirii’s computer via an IP address. Police believe that he had the video so that it could be uploaded to the Internet with file-sharing software.
Kirii, who has been charged with possession of child pornography, admits to the allegations.
Until March of 2013, Kirii had been a principal at a middle school in Toki. He now serves as an in-room consultant for delinquent children.
Police are continuing to examine Kirii’s computer for other violations.
