FUKUOKA (TR) – Fukuoka Prefectural Police have arrested the manager of a love hotel in Kurume City for the illegal operation of a sex service, reports NHK (Jan. 14).

In October of last year, Shizuma Matsuo, the 41-year-old manager of the Continental Hotel, is alleged to have dispatched two women, aged 27 and 34, from a “delivery health” out-call service he also operates to the hotel for male customers.

Police allege that the women provided honban, or full sex, to the customers, which is a violation of the Anti-Prostitution Law.

The offices for the Continental Hotel, which is located in the Shojimamachi area, and the service are connected to one another. The business model was such that customers for the service are required to utilize rooms at the hotel, according to Sports Hochi (Jan. 14).

Customers were recruited via the Internet and word of mouth. Between 2008 and August of last year, the operation is believed to have employed dozens of women in collecting 1.2 billion yen in sales.

Three employees of the service are already under prosecution for violating the Anti-Prostitution Law.

Police were made aware of the alleged crimes via anonymous tips received last summer.
