The victim was pulled from the machine by police and fire personnel about two hours later. After being rushed to a nearby hospital, he was confirmed dead.

The man had been feeding garbage into the machine for compaction prior to the accident. A security guard found the man after he noticed disposal work had not been concluded.

Police are now investigating the cause of the accident.
