IBARAKI (TR) – Ibaraki Prefectural Police have arrested a 40-year-old male restaurant worker for the theft of women’s underwear from a laundromat in Shimotsuma City, reports TBS News (Jan. 7).

At approximately 5:00 a.m. on January 3, Hiroshi Suzuki, a resident of Chikusei City, is alleged to have taken 38 pieces of women’s underwear from coin-operated drying machines.

Suzuki, who has been charged with theft, admits to the allegations.

After the incident, a 26-year-old woman reported the actions of the suspect to police. Three days later, he was apprehended by police during a patrol of the area.

Police are now investigating whether Suzuki has been behind other crimes.
