OSAKA (TR) – Osaka Prefectural Police on Friday raided the headquarters of an affiliate gang of the newly formed Kobe Yamaguchi-gumi on suspicion of illegal employment of minors, reports the Mainichi Broadcasting System (Dec. 4).

At 9:30 a.m., approximately 40 officers entered the headquarters of the Takumi-gumi, located in Chuo Ward, in search of evidence connected to the employment of three girls, aged 14 and 15, earlier this month at a hostess club managed by 31-year-old gang member Sho Mori.

The club, named Stylish Bar Felice, is licensed as a drinking establishment but offers services approaching that of an adult-entertainment club. The girls handed out advertising leaflets in the street and served customers.

Police suspect that revenue from the club was funneled to the Takumi-gumi.

The Kobe Yamaguchi-gumi formed over the summer following the dissolution of the Kobe-based Yamaguchi-gumi.

Since the split, law enforcement has been raiding the headquarters of affiliate gangs of both organizations. Police are concerned about any pending violence between the rival gangs.
