TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Monday announced the arrest of a 25-year-old man believed to be behind the molestation of multiple women in Setagaya Ward, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Nov. 16).

Early on Saturday morning, Yuta Yamaguchi, a company employee living in the Ikejiri area, followed a woman in her 20s as she returned home. He subsequently entered her unlocked first-floor apartment and fondled her body while she was in her bathtub.

Yamaguchi, who has been charge with indecent assault, admits to the allegations. “I did it to satisfy my sexual desire,” the suspect is quoted by police, according to TBS News (Nov. 16).

Yamaguchi became a person of interest for police after an examination of a security camera footage taken near the scene of the crime.

Police suspect that Yamaguchi has participated in a number of other similar incidents that have taken place inside residences and on roads in Ikejiri since May.
