OSAKA (TR) – Osaka Prefectural Police on Thursday announced the bust of a parlor in Chuo Ward for offering illegal gambling, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Aug. 6).

At approximately 9:40 p.m. on Wednesday, officers raided parlor Mint, located in the Higashi Shinsaibashi entertainment area, and arrested Yoshimitsu Kotani, a 41-year-old manager, and two other employees on suspicion of operating a roulette gambling venue. All of the suspects have reportedly admitted to the allegations.

Officers seized a roulette wheel and cash. Two customers inside the premises at the time of the bust were also arrested on gambling charges.

Mint opened in October of last year. The parlor averaged 10 customers per day.
