TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Monday announced the arrest of a 43-year-old company employee for uploading obscene videos of sex workers to the Internet, reports TBS News (July 20).

Police charged Masanobu Onoyama, who is employed in Chuo Ward, with distributing 19 illicit videos showing the genitals of female prostitutes employed at an out-call “delivery health” service in the Ikebukuro entertainment district.

The footage was shot in secret. For the filming, the suspect utilized a smartphone, wristwatch and a hidden camera mounted on a pair of eye glasses.

Onoyama, who has been charged with the electronic distribution of obscene media for profit, has reportedly admitted to the allegations. “I did it for pocket money,” the suspect is quoted by police, according to TV Asahi (July 20).

Since January of 2013, the suspect has uploaded a total of 78 films to the file-sharing site FC2. Over that period, the films were downloaded approximately 5,700 times and generated 3.5 million yen in earnings, according to Fuji News Network (July 20).
