OSAKA (TR) – The Suita City Fire Department on Monday announced a six-month suspension from duty for a 26-year-old fireman accused of sexually assaulting a teenage boy, reports the Kobe Shimbun (May 11).
On the morning of January 27, Yuya Nakamoto fondled the lower half of the body of the boy, 15, inside a train car of the Keihan Main Line.
After exiting the train at Kyobashi Station, the boy apprehended Nakamoto, who was later arrested by officers from the Miyakojima Police Station. The suspect admitted to the allegations.
According to the Sankei Shimbun (May 11), the matter was settled in court with Nakamoto not prosecuted in February.
On the same day that the punishment was handed down by the department, Nakamoto tendered his resignation.
